At the onset this large piece (63" x 35") was an experiment with plastic pencils and drafting film. The imagery is an amalgam of David Bowie's stage performance in the Elephant Man, one of his performance photos, head and upper extremity deformities sustained by John Merrick and the literal whimsy in his pant leg.
